Two Weil Partners Named Among Notable Women in Law by Crain’s New York Business in 2023

Public Company Advisory Group Co-Head Lyuba Goltser and Restructuring partner Candace Arthur have been named among the 2023 Notable Women in Law by Crain’s New York Business. The annual list recognizes a select group of women attorneys in the New York City metropolitan area “at the pinnacle of their profession whose impact radiates well beyond the clients they serve.”

The pair was selected for their numerous achievements representing clients, mentoring junior attorneys and promoting diversity.

Lyuba was honored for her work counseling boards of directors and executives on a range of corporate governance issues, including securities law compliance and regulatory matters, sustainability, internal investigations and shareholder activism. Crain’s also highlighted her contributions to Women@Weil, which is dedicated to embracing the talents and energy of women attorneys across the Firm.

Candace’s work counseling companies such as Insys Therapeutics and ATI Physical Therapy was highlighted. Her commitment to developing new talent,  mentoring Weil’s Black lawyers, and helping lead the Firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion program also were noted in her profile. Her pro bono work advising nonprofits and individual in Chapter 7 matters was also highlighted.
