Miles Mason, Jr. wins Joe Henry Writing Award by TBJ
At the Tennessee Bar Association’s annual convention held in Memphis this year, I received the prestigious Justice Joseph W. Henry award for outstanding legal writing. The award is named after a former chief judge of the Tennessee Supreme Court and is given to the author of the “most outstanding article” in the Tennessee Bar Journal of the previous calendar year. This is the highest honor the TBA can bestow for legal writing. I was honored this year for my article “You Are the Father!” The first recipient of this award was my law father-inlaw, Judge Joe B. Jones. He received it in 1982. He told me he treasured the award. Click to view the TBA’s press release.
