An Arkansas lawyer was taken to the hospital Wednesday after he was allegedly shot by an armored car employee during an attempted robbery, according to Little Rock, Arkansas, police.
The lawyer is 47-year-old Chad M. Green, according to the Arkansas Times, WREG and KARK.
Licensed to practice in 2003, Green is a law graduate of the Washington University in St. Louis, according to his LinkedIn profile. KARK identified Green as a well-known defense attorney.
A Loomis armored truck employee told police that he was servicing a Bank of America ATM in Little Rock when a man approached him, asked how he was doing and then sprayed him with Mace. The employee shot at the suspect, who fell to the ground but then hopped onto his bicycle and rode away.
Police identified Green as a potential suspect when they found him in a vehicle. Green said he was shot on Geyer Springs Road, which was the site where the armored truck employee fired his gun.
Lawyer Josh Gillispie of the Gillispie Law Firm told the Arkansas Times that Green used to be a partner in his law firm in North Little Rock, which was then called Green & Gillispie. Now, Green has a separate firm in the same office that he occupied at Green & Gillispie, Gillispie said.
