On September 22, 2023, Joe Smith spoke on the “Pets in Divorce Panel” at the Tennessee Bar Association Animal Law Forum 2023 along with Marlene Moses, Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin, and Judge Phillip Robinson, 20th Judicial District Circuit Court, Div. III. Pets in Divorce featured domestic lawyers and a judge discussing a push to provide courts the power to grant ownership, or joint ownership, to pets based on the well being of the animal. “Thank you, TBA for inviting me to speak on the Pets in Divorce Panel,” Joe Smith.
