This volunteer opportunity is for

therapy-certified animals

and their owners who want to help children improve their reading skills in a non-threatening environment. Volunteers work after school, usually from 3:30 to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and have a therapy-certified animal. Rock Work Trail Event

on March 15 is exclusively for “women and femme-presenting people.” Trail maintenance in the Copper Corridor Region will focus on rock work to maintain paths, trail structure, tread reinforcement, and erosion mitigation. Wear appropriate gear, and be ready to hike up to 2,5 miles with tools. Lunch will be included, as well as all tools and safety equipment. Reserve your spot now! There are other opportunities throughout the year if this one doesn’t fit into your schedule/demographics. 3 – Donate Items or Labour to the Welcome to America ProjectThe Welcome to America Project in Arizona is dedicated to helping refugees and immigrants start their new lives. Volunteering can help families settle into their new communities. You can offer your services to help set up a home if you have certain skills, such as handyman work. Donations of gently used clothing, furniture, and household items are also needed. The most requested items are household goods such as bedding, kitchenware and hygiene products. Clothing is also very much needed. Volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul.
