Robert A. Simon, Ph.D. is an internationally recognized leader in forensic psychology consulting. Based in San Diego, CA, and Maui, HI, Dr. Simon is retained by attorneys throughout the country to consult on custody cases and provide expert witness testimony. Dr. Simon is an immediate past member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts and serves on the editorial board of the Family Court Review. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and the Chair of the Board of Fellows of the National Center for Juvenile Justice. He is the chair of the International Board of Directors of the World Congress on Family Law and Children’s rights and a member of the Executive Committee of the California Bar Court. He is formerly a member of the Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct of the California Bar Association and formerly a senior member of the Ethics Committee of the California Psychological Association.
Dr. Simon does a great deal of international consulting, teaching and lecturing. He has provided training to mental health professionals, attorneys and judicial officers in America, Australia, Singapore and Italy. He was invited by the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia to be a lead trainer in their national conference of the court’s Family Consultants. He is the co-author of the book “Forensic Psychology Consultation in Child Custody Litigation: A Handbook for Work Product Review, Case Preparation and Expert Testimony”. Dr. Simon has also published numerous articles in scholarly journals.
