The New Affiliated Researchers of the Global Health and Rights Project for 2025-26 Academic year

The Global Health and Rights Project (GHRP), which is based in the United States, welcomes four researchers from Argentina to its affiliated research program for the academic year 2025-2026. “There are many parallels between the Trump administration’s politics and those of President Milei, both in terms of the dismantling of aspects of the administrative states, the retreat from multilateral institutions, standards and international law and the embrace of anti-gender policies.” Given both parallels and clear differences, as well as evolving geopolitics in the region and the world, we will engage in dialogues throughout the year to extract lessons for scholarship and advocacy regarding health and social equality.”

Mariana Bracco is a researcher who focuses on the care economy and its direct impact on population health and social justice.

Solana Yoma focuses on issues related to economic policies, psychosocial health and human right.

Juan Goni previously wrote about neoliberal policy and will dedicate his GHRP affiliation to examining both the effects of austerity as well as the outcomes on Argentina’s healthcare system.
