Juristat is Seeking an IDS/Patent Specialist – IPWatchdog.com
Juristat provides an innovative suite of products, and we need the team to create and maximize the potential of those tools. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our data team as IDS Patent Specialist. This group provides a personalized human level of input to our AI software and is a critical component of our team.
This team member will work with proprietary automation software to prepare patent application disclosures, e-file Information Disclosure Statements (“IDSs”) with the USPTO, manage patent literature, upload information to databases, and confidentially maintain client information and files.
This role is 100% remote with optional office space for in-person meetings/ gatherings at the St. Louis, MO, headquarters and may be available in additional locations as Juristat grows. If you possess high attention to detail and self-motivation, this job is for you!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collecting and analyzing digital documents and related data
- Reviewing data and documents for errors
- Becoming familiar with Juristat’s tools and systems in order to understand all team-related internal systems, processes, and procedures
- Update and maintain database of prior art references
- Locate copies of patent references and non-patent literature
- Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements with the USPTO
Qualification Required:
There are several qualities that make you stand out as the right person to fill this position. In particular:
- 1+ years of experience in patent law as patent legal secretary, IDS specialist, or other patent prosecution support position (REQUIRED)
- Extremely organized and possess high attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Trustworthy and can maintain confidentiality
- Knowledgeable of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Excited to learn about our current processes and infrastructure, and willing to provide creative suggestions to improve our workflow as you grow in your role
