Despite the USPTO announcing that it’s again postponing the non-DOCX filing fee to April 3, 2023, the transition to DOCX filing for applications is on the horizon. The delay will give “applicants more time to adjust to filing their patent applications in DOCX format,” according to USPTO Director Kathi Vidal. Experts on the USPTO eCommerce Modernization team will provide a demonstration on how to file an application using this format, and they will answer questions from attendees.
